Balm of Gilead Oil (Persimmon)

According to studies done, this tree is likely to be identified with the legendary persimmon tree.
Persimmon essential oil is produced from branches, leaves, fruit (futile) by distillation in steam water.
Yields approximately 0.5% essential oil.

The branches of the biblical persimmon tree were used (in Maimonides opinion) as an ingredient in the temple incense called "Tsori". Whereas the wood resin (white liquid) was used to anoint kings after the oil of the ointment was shelved by King Josiah of Judea.
A team of researchers from various research centers and universities discovered anti-cancer activities in persimmons' distillation.
Laboratory tests revealed that there was antibacterial activity in the tree's resin.
