It is origin in northern India (Kashmir).
He grew up today in Spain, Iran and more.
Saffron has been used since ancient times for medicinal drug, incense and cooking.
Saffron is associated with the biblical crocus that served as one of the components of the temple incense.

Saffron is considered to be a spice and rightfully so.
Each flower from which the spice is extracted blooms once a year (October and November) and each flower has 3 scars harvested manually.
Producing 1 kilogram of saffron requires approximately 275,000 flowers.

Saffron essential oil is produced from the scars of the flower, by distillation of the scars (not soaking) – extremely rare !!!

Saffron essential oil (in light of its prestige and rarity) is diluted with grape seed oil.
